Types of rotational molding:

Rotomolding allows the manufacture of a wide range of simple to complex shapes, such as industrial tanks, without the need for gluing or welding.

Extrusion - This method involves pressing molten material (usually plastic) into holes in a two-dimensional die. It goes through a series of molds, where it gets its shape after melting. When the product is ready, it forms a long two-dimensional shape that can be cut into multiple parts.

Metal Injection Molding - A metalworking process. After forming a block from metal powder and binding material, it is shaped and cured using injection molding techniques, and the part is then post-processed at high temperatures. Finally, the binder is removed and the powder is sintered to obtain the product.

Reaction Injection Molding (RIM) - Using a thermoset polymer instead of plastic, after being compressed in a mold, the block is mixed with a catalyst and left to cure. The most common reaction injection molding material is polyurethane.

Liquid Silicone Injection Molding - Very similar to Reaction Injection Molding (RIM): Liquid silicone (rubber) is injected into the mold and then cured. This technique can be used to evaluate different material configurations prior to full production.
